Dr. Arunaz Kumar is a senior Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who is able to cater to your gynaecology needs throughout life, and obstetric needs during those vital child bearing years.

Dr Kumar is a highly qualified specialist. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Delhi University, India. Following that, she worked in the United Kingdom at the University College Hospital, London and received her membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) qualification. She moved to Australia in 2005 and trained across numerous hospitals in Melbourne before receiving her fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) certification in 2009. Dr. Kumar has acquired extensive experience in the speciality over this time and the variety of exposure has enriched her skills.

Dr. Kumar is also a highly qualified academic at Monash University. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education (GCHPE) from Monash University. She also completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in “Interprofessional education using simulation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology” from Monash University. She is the Director of Educational Innovation and Research in Women’s Health at Monash University. She is an expert in interprofessional education, clinical skills training and simulation, and frequently gets invited to national and international meetings and conferences to present her academic work and research. Besides being a clinical specialist, and a leader of medical education and skills training in Australia, Dr Kumar is also working towards better outcomes for women and their babies in low and middle-income countries. She leads the ONE Sim (Obstetric and Neonatal Emergency Simulation) program on maternal and newborn skills training for health professionals and medical and students in India and other countries. She is passionate about spreading her educational and clinical skills to health workers and students across the globe, to empower them to improve outcomes of the women and children they look after.
